As your elected board for the Spokane Chapter we were very honored to accept the Chapter Awards for Education, Advocacy, Philosophy in Action, and overall Best Practice at this year's NWCUA Amplify Convention. Every year, credit union chapters across the states of Oregon and Washington submit their entries for the Chapter Awards focusing on Leadership, Education, Advocacy, Philanthropy, and overall Best Practice. Your Spokane Chapter was proud to accept four of the five awards given at the Amplify Gala held on October 9th. Our awards submissions included valued events such as Hike the Hill, in which we sent 9 credit union employees to represent our chapter and area credit unions, the Spokane Chapter Golf Tournament where we raised over $30,000, including a $10,000 Miracle Match for CU for Kids and CULAF, and our free of charge BSA and Robbery training, offered every year to our members. "Wow! This chapter is a wonderful example for other chapters throughout the region", cited one Chapter Awards judge. We are very grateful for our member credit union and vendor participation in these events. As representatives of the Spokane area credit unions, we take our commitment to the four Chapter Pillars of Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Philanthropy to heart and were very pleased to receive recognition for our efforts in accepting these awards on behalf of our Chapter Members. Thank you for your continued support of the Spokane Chapter. We look forward to a very active and successful 2015.

Way to go Credit Union's!
Thank you for your support in making the 10th Annual Spokane Chapter Golf Tournament the best one yet! We are excited to announce that due to our amazing credit unions and vendors, we were able to raise over $19,000!! We will split the funds equally between CULAF and Credit Union for Kids. Due to the matching funds presented by Miracle Match, we will be able to match our $10,000 donation and present a check for $20,000 to the Children's Miracle Network. Thank you again to all who donated, participated, and cheered us on. We look forward to next year's tournament and invite you to join us again on the greens next year!
The Spokane Chapter Gives Back
We are committed to giving back to our communities through various programs that align with our four pillars of service—Advocacy, Education, Leadership, and Philosophy. Look for opportunities that allow our credit unions to interact and give back to the community that we live, work and serve in. Check back throughout the year as we highlight those opportunities.
The Spokane Chapter provides scholarship grants to help strengthen our credit union community and contribute to the development of our local area credit union professionals. If your credit union is an affiliate of the Spokane Chapter of the Northwest Credit Union Association, we have scholarship funds available for staff, management and volunteers to assist in paying for educational programs that enhance individual performance and benefit your credit union.
The Spokane Chapter has a budget for credit union related programs as well as for CUNA Management School. Please note that scholarship money is offered throughout the year until the budgeted amount as been utilized.
